Holt just shade it!

Well done to the eighteen that made the long trip to high flying Holt.

Starting with the positives:

What would last season have been considered a 2nd XV front row, never lost a scrum and put the Holt pack under huge pressure.

We scored three tries early in the second half, two from the catch and drive, and one from Finn Morrison in typical Finn style.

Our lads never gave up throughout the whole game when the Holt backs were running through and around us.

So, we scored three tries, but Holt managed thirteen; with their inside centre scoring five and scrum half scoring a hat trick, as I recall. We had no match for the speed and direct running of their backs, and our tackling was not the best at times.

Final score 85 - 17. There will be better days ahead.

Next game is away to Bury St Edmunds 2nds, who are placed 3rd in the league. Good to see Ollie Townsend making an appearance for our 2nds yesterday; having been out since February of last season.
